Tiger Waterfall Dalat

Dalat Tiger waterfall is a famous waterfall in the 90s, located in Xuan Tho commune, 15km east of Da Lat city center. The waterfall is about 50m high and stretches along the stream about 100m.

Dalat Tiger waterfall comes from a true story more than a century ago. At that time there appeared a very aggressive tiger, at night the villagers did not dare to leave the house, dare not go into the forest to cut wood, find food. Facing this situation, a C'Ho hero volunteered to enter the jungle, and spent more than a month watching and preparing for the fight. One day he found the tiger in the forest, after approaching the tiger he shot an arrow hit the tiger body, it painfully screamed and ran straight into the jungle, from which the tiger no longer returned, the villagers began to go to the forest for food and back to normal life. To commemorate the merits of the ancient K'Ho hero, they have built a huge statue of valiant warriors, holding bow hand toward to the sky.

At present, the tourist resort of Tiger Cave Falls has been seriously degraded. but Visitors still can park their car and pay a fee of 10 000VND for the car caretaker and go along the paved stone path leading to the falls. At the top of the waterfall still retains a suspension bridge with rusty iron rods, the deck planks have decayed over time. Next to the suspension bridge is a small cave, this place is called Tiger Cave. From the center of Dalat City, tourists go straight to Tran Hung Dao Street, to Hung Vuong Street, at the end of the road, you have to turn to Trai Mat for another 5km.
