Domaine de Marie Church was built in 1930, in 1943 the church underwent a major restoration then look like today.
From 1940 to 1943 Domaine de Marie Church was the main Convent of the Congregation of the Saint Vincent Daughters ., the sisters here are adopting a lot of orphaned children and teaching knitting, painting, embroidery, and school ... so that when they grow up they will become useful to the society.
A general overview of the architecture of the Domaine de Marie church has many innovations compared to the classical church in the West. It is still a cross, but the proportion is more liberal: The width of the church is 11 meters and the length is 33 meters. In front of the church, there are two tiled steps going up the main door and then entering the church.
The main chapel was designed as a symmetrical triangular top of a tile roof with a cross, in front of the Domaine de Marie church, adorned with small arches. In the middle of the vertical plane, near the top of the roof, there is a circular window. This often appears in the churches of France in the late seventeenth century.
The roof of the Domaine de Marie church is shaped like the Rong house of the Tay Nguyen ethnic group. The roof of the chapel has a large slope, which is covered with red tiles made in Vietnam.
Domaine de Marie Church is designed in Normandy architecture in northern France. The wall underneath the tile roof is quite thick and the doors are designed deep into the interior,
Behind the chapel is a beautiful campus of Domaine de Marie.
Behind Domaine de Marie Church is grave of miss Cathrine the founder of the church, That for fulfill her wishes and to commemorate her, who has made great contributions in helping to build the church. She had an accident on a trip from Saigon to Da Lat to resolve the conflict between Queen Nam Phuong and Mong Diep the king second wife (she had an accident at Prenn Pass, then was taken to an emergency hospital, However, because of the severe wound, she died there in 1944).
Behind Domaine, Da Lat church is a modern architectural complex with three three-story buildings of the Sisters of Vincent DePaul, surrounded by gardens, yellow lime walls, red tile roofs.
