Dalat Langbiang Mountain

About 12km north of Dalat city center, Langbiang Mountain Resort is a popular tourist destination of Dalat attracting thousands of visitors every day.

Langbiang Mountain tourist area consists of 3 main peaks, the highest point is Ong Peak at 2167m high, Ba Peak at 2100m high and 54m high. Most visitors to Langbiang Mountain will be taken to Radar Hill to view the whole district of, Silver Spring and Dalat City far behind the hills.

Legend of Mount Langbiang

According to the K'Ho people, there was a touching love story between K'Lang and H'Biang, who came from two different tribes at the foot of Mt. Langbiang. Mountain. They happened to know each other after a mountain picking fruit, while she with the people in trouble, the guy K'Lang brave rescue her escape the fierce wolves. After meeting that fateful time, they loved each other, but also from here all grief and affection began to take place. Since she and two different tribes have traditionally not been allowed to marry foreigners, K'Lang could not marry her Biang.

Regardless of the rules, the two are determined to come together. They left the village to join together and went to the mountain. As time went by, one-day H'Biang was sick, Lang tried everything he could to cure, but it seemed as if all efforts were not rewarded, he just had to go back to his village to ask for help. During the return, he was ambushed by the villagers of H'Biang, Shot him with a poisonous arrow. but his wife jumped in front to protect him she got the dangerous arrow. At the end of the story, H'Biang died because of the poisonous arrows of the village, K'Lang, with grief, was in tears, his tears flowing into a large stream called Dankia. After their death, H'Biang farther was very regretful, then he unified all tribes together to form a unified tribe named K'Ho. Later, young couples of the tribe could easily come together and not be bound by the old rules. The mountain behind the village was also renamed Langbiang to remember the story.

Today Langbiang tourism

Currently, Langbiang mountain tourism has been embellished and reinvested. LangBiang tourism has been well-known by local and international visitors for its rich biodiversity and rich herbs, rare birds some activities such as mountains hiking, camping, and research on the ecology and culture of the Kho people. At the top of the mountain, they set up a statue of a couple of girls named K'Lang and Biang standing together, as if to prove the eternal existence of a loyal love affair, witness to Those who have been to, heard, felt and loved more in this legendary mountain.
